Our passion for outdoors and camping

For independence chasers and community seekers; adrenaline junkies and laid-back loungers- camping is the satisfying solution. The scratch to the universal itch of wanting more, desiring different. Through the years we’ve heard incredible tales of daring escapades contrasted with fond recall of daydreams under the shade of towering pines. 

The childhood memories of a milkman’s son who counted down the days until his dad would pack up the trailer for the summer; the ‘low budget’ holiday that Disneyland couldn’t hold a candle to. The fresh independence of a post-graduation teen piling her friends into her mother’s old minivan- playing tetris in the trunk to make room for just one more box of cookies.  The reluctant Grandfather caving to his gaggle of grandchildren and wading into the cool lake- soon soaked by the joyous splashings of the children. The couple seeking refuge in the snapping serenity of untouched snow, looking around with bubbling excitement: solitude in nature. 

The relief of anyone packing away an unsympathetic winter, callous year- inhaling the warm, woody summer breeze and realizing the air smelled exactly the same when they were a child. Camping is transcendence- the seamless transition from generation to generation. Rites of passage, shifting from student to teacher- decades of perfecting the art of the perfect s’more, refining the ultimate campfire story. Year after year returning to the same campsite, awaiting the greeting of the same trees and taking comfort in the realization that nothing is ever truly lost.
